Every technician owns a workbench vise which can be rented out by the player for 1000RU for 5 minutes. Keeping mind that some of those upgrade will increase weight and might worsen ergonomics. The upgrades available for outfits can be split into upgrades reducing weight, improving anomaly protection, rupture, bullet resistance, carry weight, ergonomics, health regeneration or durability, or adding artifact slots. The upgrades that are available for weapons can be split into upgrades reducing weight, recoil, adding scope/silencer/grenade launcher mounts, and also the ones improving handling, accuracy, flatness (and damage by that). Upgrading armor will require parts to be in the Player's inventory, you can check which parts are needed in the details menu of your outfit. It is necessary to upgrade the weapon in order that's imposed by the upgrade trees. Two upgrades that take up the same slot cannot be mounted simultaneously. Upgrading gear is possible via technicians or by using a technician's workbench vice with the necessary upgrade component and appropriate tools available.
